About
Cyril B. Saulny
More than 12 years ago, Cyril B. Saulny, the President and
Founder of Treme for Treme, along with several other community advocates, embarked on a mission to forge a new partnership with the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation. Their goal is to transform a public space, centrally located, and accessible for locals and tourists alike in New Orleans - such as an underutilized park or a large vacant lot - into an inviting destination.

They envisioned a place where the power of free, live music can bring people together to create an opportunity for community and sustainable economic development, and to revitalize The Historic Treme neighborhood into a healthy and thriving community once again. Mr. Saulny developed, cultivated, and organized a Board of Directors and incorporated the 501(c)(3) non-profit Friends of Levitt Pavilion New Orleans.

Thanks to Mayor LaToya Cantrell, the organization has moved into the final phases of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement (CEA) with the City of New Orleans to actualize The Levitt Pavilion New Orleans at Armstrong Park.
So get ready New Orleans! We are about to revive our community in the heart and soul of the city of New Orleans, utilizing as its backdrop – Louis Armstrong Park in the beloved Historic Treme!
